To deactivate your phone or other devices, you must contact your wireless service provider and resolve any issues that are keeping you device active in service with them.
ESN’s are Electric Serial Numbers. An ESN can be active from the following reasons:
1. The Device is holding an “active” account status with the carrier.
2. The account associated with the device has an outstanding balance with the service provider.
3. The device has been reported as stolen or lost.
Prior to our inspection we will check to see if the ESN has been deactivated. If the ESN isn’t clear for activation we will notify you via email and ask your to contact your service provider to clear up the issues causing your ESN to stay inactive.

This step should be done before you erase your device but it can be done after. It you haven’t erased your Apple device go to the Settings app and then select iCloud and go to the bottom and click “Find My iPhone” and turn it off. you will be prompted to type in your password and it will be complete.
If you have erased your device and it is in new factory settings you have to go online to www.iCloud.com and sign in with your user ID and password and go to “Find My iPhone” then in the top center it will say “All Devices” click “All Devices” and power down your device so that is not on. After is it powered off your device list will show that your device is “offline” and then you can click that device and click “Remove from Account” and it will remove that device from “Find My iPhone.”

We ensure and commit to you the highest priority to keep your information safe until deleted.
If we receive your device and it has not been erased we will contact you immediately. If it is an apple product and you have a activation lock on the screen you can remotely erase that device is you had setup a iCloud account or “Find My iPhone” with that device. If you product is not an Apple device we will contact you immediately and work directly with you on how you would feel secure with the erasing of your data.
